The iFixIt service, known for disassembling various mobile devices, after the Gear 2 also got to disassemble the new Samsung smartphone Galaxy S5. Unlike the aforementioned Gear 2 and Galaxy The S4, which scored 8 out of 10 for the difficulty of repair, got it Galaxy S5 only count five points. It was rated with just five points mainly because of its display, which needs to be disconnected to access the rest of the hardware. However, separating the display from the rest of the phone is not at all easy, because due to the amount of glue used, the user must proceed very carefully to avoid breaking the glass or breaking the cables.
Only the battery, unsurprisingly, proved to be the only component that can be removed and replaced without any problem. It is surprising that the waterproofing rather than the display did not appear as a problem during disassembly, but even so it is recommended not to disassemble the phone and in case of a malfunction take it to a professional service center.
