Samsung proves that it tries to innovate in all kinds of ways, and it proves it especially with displays. It is not so long ago that it launched the first phone with a bent display, and the company is already starting to consider what could be realized if transparent displays were available to users. However, Samsung has an answer to that too, and technology that still sounds very futuristic today could offer users a new way to control their phone.

What a transparent display control could look like is explained in more detail by a new, comprehensive patent. In it, the company describes several options by which the transparent display could be used. In addition to allowing users to perform various gestures without touching the front of the device, thanks to the patented technology, users could easily and quickly move folders and objects on the phone's screen, unlock a locked phone, or even control video using of this technology. Touching the back of the device is also not unrealistic, the PlayStation Vita can be used as an example. On its back there is a touchpad, which can be used to control various elements in games, for example the camera zoom in Uncharted: Golden Abyss. The options for controlling the transparent display using the rear part are really endless and it can be said that they can be used in a large number of cases. In the end, it is only a matter of time before the first transparent devices reach the market.

A notable point of interest is that in the images for this patent, Samsung shows the device's home screen, which includes, among other things, a modified company icon Apple. It appears as if it has been shot, which may indicate the current state of affairs between the two companies. They have been suing each other for patent infringement since 2011, but at the moment Samsung seems to be losing the battle.
