It looks like that Apple this year he started another revolution. Reuters news agency claims that Samsung and several other manufacturers are expected to introduce their own smartphones in 2014 that include a fingerprint sensor, similar to the Apple iPhone 5s and its Touch ID. However, unlike Apple, these manufacturers have to come up with their own way to include the necessary sensors in their phones, since the Touch ID technology is fully patented.

The Swedish company Fingerprint showed interest in the supply of sensors for other companies, which would like to conclude an agreement with Samsung, LG Electronics, Huawei and other manufacturers. CEO Fingerprint Johan CarAt the same time, lstrom expects to introduce its own phone with a fingerprint sensor next year as many as 7-8 manufacturers that produce devices with systems Android a Windows. He also expects Samsung to showcase a fingerprint sensor on at least one or two smartphones. In recent months, there have already been claims that Samsung will use the technology in next year's flagship Galaxy S5 or Galaxy F, but considering that the report only appeared now, there is only a small chance that this will happen with the phone, which he is supposed to introduce already in early 2014.

According to Carlstroma it was only a matter of time before fingerprint sensors became commonplace on mobile phones. Already in 2010 he showed Apple interested in the acquisition of the company Fingerprint, but at the same time he also had an eye on the company AuthenTec, which he finally bought for 356 million US dollars last year and used its technology for the birth of Touch ID. Since manufacturers are developing two different types of fingerprint sensors today, it is questionable which one Samsung will choose. In the first case, it would have a touch sensor available, and in the second case, it would be a sensor that needs to be walked over to capture the entire fingerprint. In October, there was also a false report that Samsung was buying Fingerprint for $650 million, which was not true.
