Samsung unveiled the first mSATA (mini-SATA) SSD memory, which will offer a capacity of up to 1TB, which is one of the significant advances for the public in the mini-memory card business. The mSATA SSD card belongs to the 840 EVO class, which the company introduced only at the beginning of this year. The new mini card guarantees reliable speed at the level of ordinary 2,5-inch SSD cards, while the well-thought-out construction guarantees several advantages over older models.

The highest possible efficiency was achieved by combining 16 128GB NAND flash memories, which were divided into four separate memory files. Visually, the SSD card measures just under 4 millimeters and weighs 8,5 grams. The average speed of the card when loading is 540MB/s and writing 520MB/s. The interesting thing about the mini memory stick is that it will be possible to combine it with another storage device like SSD or HDD, as long as your computer has a slot for mSATA cards. Samsung will release the 840 EVO mSATA SSD card globally this month.
