When it comes to leaks of legitimate phone documents, then GSMArena is one of the most prominent in the world. He is the one who got access to Samsung's internal documents today, which directly compare the upcoming cheaper model Galaxy Note 3 with other existing models, Note II and Note 3. Also thanks to these documents we learn that the cheaper model will bear the designation Note 3 Neo, just like the cheaper variant Galaxy Grand. Therefore, we will not be surprised if other "Lite" models are also renamed Neo.

But the name change is not the only thing that we know about thanks to GSMArena.com and so we have practically all the important information available, unfortunately it lacks any photo of the product. However, we think the product will be very similar to today's Note 3, but with minor changes. But if Samsung sticks to the documents, the Note 3 Neo will actually offer a premium design, just like its "full-fledged" brother. Apparently, the Neo is a kind of intermediate step between the Note II and the Note 3, so it could bear the designation N8000. The two devices mentioned above bear the model designations N7000 and N9000.

And what to expect from the hardware? Galaxy The Note 3 Neo will be the first phone on the market to offer a 6-core Exynos chip. It will consist of a dual-core processor with a frequency of 1.7 GHz and a quad-core processor with a frequency of 1.3 GHz. The processor will be complemented by 2GB of RAM, which is 1GB less than the regular one Galaxy Note 3. The built-in storage will be reduced by half, so the phone will only offer 16GB of memory. However, it is still possible to expand it by up to 64GB using a microSD card.

A marked change compared to Galaxy Note 3 is the display size. The display will be smaller than the Note 3, with a diagonal of 5.55 inches and a resolution of 1280x720. This is the same display that Samsung used in 2012 with its own Galaxy Note II, so here too it is confirmed that Neo is a kind of hybrid of two Notes. It will be markedly different from them by the presence of the latest Androidwith the MagazineUX environment that Samsung presented at this year's CES. Despite the weaker hardware, the Neo will offer enough reasons why Note II owners should consider switching to this cheaper model. They will get full-fledged multitasking, there will be support for advanced S Pen functions, including Air Command, and of course the plastic design will disappear - it will be replaced by leather, just like on the Note 3 and others.

Other functions and features of this phone include support for Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0 and WiFi standards a/b/g/n/ac. Compared to the Note II, several new sensors will be added, thanks to which a sensor for air gestures, adapt display, temperature and humidity will also be present. New features include Air Gesture, Air Command, Smart Pause, Smart Scroll, Adapt Display and Adapt Sound. Finally, there will be an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.9-megapixel front camera, a battery with a capacity of 3 mAh, and for starters, it will be available Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The exact dimensions and weight are unknown, but so far we know that the device is 151,1 millimeters tall and 8,6 millimeters thick, making it only slightly thicker than the Note 3.
