The Japanese news site Mainichi.jp reported, citing its sources, that Samsung and Asian operators plan to introduce the first smartphones with the Tizen OS operating system as early as February/February. These devices should compete with operating system devices iOS a Android, while these are found on almost 94% of all active phones on the world market today.

The Japanese operator NTT DoCoMo is also among the Asian operators that should introduce devices with the Tizen system. However, he is preparing his own devices before Samsung presents its first Tizen device already at the MWC 2014 fair in Barcelona. At the same fair, however, Samsung should also present key smartphones with Androidom, specifically Galaxy S5, Galaxy Grand Neo and Galaxy Note 3 Neo with 6-core processor. While Samsung will start selling devices in the spring, Japanese operator NTT DoCoMo will not start selling its own devices until the end of the year. Tizen should represent a simple platform for developers and at the same time a simple platform for users, since its use will not be dramatically different from competing systems. Tizen, like Android, can be adjusted as needed. Smartphones with Tizen should enter the market of cheaper smartphones and developing countries.

The Tizen OS operating system was developed in collaboration with Samsung, Intel, NTT DoCoMo, Fujitsu, Huawei and others. However, its development was started by the first two, and the devices were originally supposed to go on sale in 2013, but due to the state of the system at that time, this did not happen.
