Flexible technologies undoubtedly belong to the technologies that present the future of consumer electronics. Last week we were able to meet with the announcement of the first ever bendable TV produced by Samsung. There was a really large number of products at the CES fair, but few people know that Samsung presented a prototype of its own folding display. This is the same display that Samsung also promoted in 2013.

Unlike last year, where Samsung presented this display publicly, this time it was presented only to a select audience in the VIP section. The display that Samsung presented here has a diagonal of 5.68 inches and is manufactured using AMOLED technology. Due to flexibility, a substrate is also used during production, which makes the display thin and flexible at the same time. In addition, it is speculated that Samsung presented the flexible display in private in order to demonstrate the new technologies to potential buyers. In that case, it would mean that flexible displays are not far from commercialization. The advanced technology, which made it possible to fold the display several times, is supposed to be the final step in the development of flexible touchscreens. Last year, we could only meet a concept that can be folded only once, thanks to which the smartphone could be transformed into a tablet at any time.
