Samsung changed its stance and stated that it is aware of the problems caused by the pre update Galaxy Note 3 and therefore is already preparing a new update. The patch update should fix issues with third-party Flip Covers that stopped working after users installed the update on their Note 3 Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Samsung confirmed this information for the server ArsTechnica.
The new claim comes shortly after Samsung said that Android 4.4.2 has no problems with third party accessories. In its statement, however, it points out that for the full functionality of the accessory, it is recommended that it use officially authorized components from Samsung, or that users use official and original accessories from Samsung. However, Samsung has changed its position and in the near future we should expect an update from it that will solve the problems and thus improve the user experience of using these products.
