Samsung thanks to the success of the Samsung flagship Galaxy The S II, which by the way was introduced 3 years ago, decided to release an almost identical "brother" that bears the Samsung designation Galaxy With II Plus. Despite the same size and shape, there are differences between them.

Galaxy The S II Plus has the same dual-core Exynos processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, 1GB of RAM and a Super AMOLED+ display. It is a 4.3-inch display with a resolution of 480 × 800. There is also an 8-megapixel camera and of course the front camera, which has a resolution of 2 megapixels. The internal memory has a size of 8 GB and this is a fundamental difference compared to the classic S II. It had 16 GB of memory, which can be a little disappointing given the demands of today's applications and games. On the other hand, the phone can be supplemented with a memory card of up to 64 GB.

Among the advantages that the S II Plus has is a more durable Gorilla Glass 2 display and NFC built into the battery. With its help, you can share files by attaching it to another smartphone of the given brand, and it has S Beam support. The phone ran for a long time on Androide 4.1.2, which also received an update Galaxy With II. The 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update is currently available in Slovakia for the Pre S II Plus.

This is an update that already the original Galaxy S II does not get. According to Samsung, it can't get the update because the company can't optimize the TouchWiz superstructure well. This news certainly surprised a large number of S II owners. I see no reason why Samsung should have a problem with optimization, since the S II Plus has almost exactly the same parameters and there was no problem with the update. The phone was introduced less than two years after the presentation of the S II Plus, at the CES 2013.

Samsung Galaxy S II Plus is sold from €190 / CZK 5.
