At yesterday's event, Samsung presented three things that caught our attention. Phone Galaxy S5, Gear 2 and Gear Fit. However, all three products have one thing in common – they all focus on tracking physical activity. All three include a heart rate monitor, and the accessories from the Gear series also include a pedometer and sleep duration meter. Exactly these three functions should be something that should be found in a smart watch Apple iWatch, which has Apple to present at the end of the year.

Gear accessories measure this activity and send the obtained data wirelessly to the S Health application, which is located on the phones Galaxy. However, they are only compatible with the newer version of the app that will be pre-installed in the update to Android 4.4.2 KitKat. That is why the Gear Fit bracelet will be compatible with 20 smartphones from Samsung. Of course, the gentle Bluetooth 4.0 LE interface is used to send data, as is usual with such accessories.

However, the S Health application itself works on the principle that it monitors your physical activity and sets the most ideal conditions for you from the data obtained. It means the Gear could alert you that you're exercising for too long, or vice versa, that you could add a little more life to that run. The aforementioned heart rate sensor will also help to measure and improve your fitness activity, which will be constantly active and the Gear will be able to issue a message so that you can take a little rest.

However, it is also interesting that the i watch was supposed to work on exactly the same principleWatch od Apple. Apparently he had Apple to prepare the Healthbook application, which was supposed to receive data from the watch iWatch or from other fitness accessories, while these would record blood pulse, movement and even speculated about measuring a person's sleep. However, the product has not yet appeared on the market, and we can thus declare that it is Samsung that has defined the future of smart watches and bracelets these days.
