Samsung worked with Qualcomm to demonstrate LTE Category 6 at MWC. It was used for the demonstration Galaxy Note 3, which was enriched with a Snapdragon 805, which has a fifth-generation Gobi 9×35 LTE modem. This modem uses LTE Category 6, which has twice the bandwidth of LTE Category 4, which is now used on mainstream devices. With LTE category 6, you can download at a speed of up to 300 Mbit/sec.

Qualcomm announced that this new hardware will be available later this year, probably in the second half of the year, and the contender for its first use will probably be Galaxy Note 3. Samsung has already laid the groundwork for the device by modifying its hardware to be compatible with the latest products from Qualcomm.
