Analyst firm IHS iSuppli found that the company earned US$2013 million in 33,8 just from selling semiconductors to other manufacturers, including Apple. IHS iSuppli further found that this was an increase of 8,2% over the previous year.

In 2012, Samsung earned US$31,3 billion in semiconductor sales. Along with the higher profit, Samsung's market share also changed by 0,3%, thanks to which it now has a share of 10,6%. On the contrary, in the memory chip market, Samsung lost 2,3% compared to 2012. Its share in this market fell from 35,4% to 33,1%, on the other hand, it earned 15,7% more than in 2012. Samsung in this sector earned $21,7 billion in 2013. With its share, Samsung also becomes the 2nd largest semiconductor manufacturer on the market, surpassed only by Intel.
