The office suite Office Mobile for smartphones is now available for free to all users of the operating system Android. The lightweight version designed exclusively for mobile phones allows its users to create documents and tables through Word and Excel, but with limited functions as the mobile display is not sufficient for professional activity. Files must be saved to the OneDrive storage manually, whereby the user, after creating the document, enters its name and chooses where specifically he wants to save it.
The application can also be connected to the SharePoint service. However, the fundamental difference from the past is that Office Mobile is now available completely free of charge to absolutely all users and no longer requires a subscription to Office 365. It cost $99 per year, but includes features as well as a license for 5 computers with the system Windows or Mac that can be managed over the Internet. The Office 365 suite also offers a 20 GB bonus for SkyDrive storage, as well as 100 free minutes of Skype phone calls. Users also get regular updates even when a completely new version of Office is released. The Office Mobile app requires Android 4.0 and later.
