Today, the meeting of the European Parliament finally decided on the fate of the roaming service. By the end of 2015, the entire service should be completely abolished and the same rates for calls and SMS should be implemented while traveling within the European Union countries. However, this is not the only conclusion from the meeting, as it was also decided on Internet censorship, which will be banned throughout the European Union as part of the open Internet project.

Although the income of telecommunications companies will decrease by up to 5 percent thanks to this amendment, the number of calls abroad will increase rapidly and the losses should be compensated by this. The plan to cancel roaming also included fraud that users could commit by purchasing a favorable tariff abroad and using it, for example, in the Czech Republic/SR in order to save money, which they would otherwise spend at the prices of operators in their home country. The situation will be monitored and the suspicious customer may lose his seemingly favorable tariff. Along with the Open Internet Project, which plans to eliminate censorship on the web across the European Union, it is set to make it much easier for consumers to change their ISP, while it will be banned from automatically renewing contracts.
