windows-8.1-updateMicrosoft learns from the criticism of its own users and gradually improves its system. At yesterday's Build conference, the company unveiled a feature that will fundamentally change critics' view of the system Windows 8. Microsoft presented the new Mini Start function, which will offer a literal mix of the traditional Start Menu and live tiles that we are used to in the environment Windows Modern UI. Microsoft proves that this function really works and could officially release it during this year. However, will it be a function of pre Windows 8.1 Update or for a newer version of the system Windows, we don't know them.

Mini Start, as Microsoft calls the feature, is a throwback to the classics, giving users a reason to upgrade to the latest version Windows. Although they will no longer encounter the Aero environment, on the other hand there is a pleasant flat design and reduced hardware requirements that certainly compensate for this loss. Applications in the Mini Start menu will be able to be moved to the side menu, where for a change they will be in the form of live tiles. Just such a menu will be able to serve as a center for all applications and at the same time for widgets, which include, for example, weather, stocks or management.

It is also interesting that Microsoft presented at the conference the possibility of running Modern UI applications in a window, almost as if it were a desktop application. This is something that could be expected, since already Windows The 8.1 Update focuses on improving controls Windows 8.1 on desktop. Both features should appear later this year and will be able to be turned off or on as needed. You can see how it will actually look in the video below, where you can see both Mail in the window and the new Start menu.
