windows-8.1-updateMicrosoft has already shown over the week that it is working on the return of the traditional Start menu to Windows and presented it in a separate video where he also revealed that Windows will allow opening tiled applications on the desktop. However, the stronger connection between Modern UI and Desktop UI does not take place in Windows 8.1 Update, but only in the next version of the operating system. Microsoft has not confirmed whether this will be another update for pre Windows 8.1 or whether it will be about Windows 8.2, respectively Windows 9. However, speculations from the past indicate that it will be about Windows 9.

The new Mini-Start menu, as Microsoft calls it, will offer users the ability to pin different tiles here, thanks to which they can see the current weather, the status of stocks, the number of new emails and much more. Considering the name, we think that it will be a novelty that can be turned on or off according to the user's preferences. However, we will have to wait some time to see if that will be the case. The coming unification of two environments Windows however, we can already see in itself Windows 8.1 Update, which the team is preparing for this fact by allowing us to pin Windows Store apps to the taskbar. How Microsoft imagines the menu in the next Windows, you can see in the screenshot below.
