google-glassIn recent months, there has been speculation that Samsung will introduce Gear Glass, an answer to Google's smart glasses, later this year. The existence of this product cannot be confirmed, but it is definitely a product that Samsung could make a decent profit on. As revealed by CNET, Google was able to sell out its Google Glass glasses in just 24 hours after the start of sales, thanks to which we can consider the smart glasses a successful project.

The glasses themselves are currently on sale for $1, with Google giving you the option to choose any lenses if you have a prescription. Google wants to ensure that its glasses do not pose any problems for people who have vision problems but at the same time want to use Google Glass. It is not known how many units of Google Glass were available at the time of the start of sales, but sources say that their number was limited. However, the company plans to introduce the second generation, which will be more affordable and mass-produced. Currently, the glasses are only available in the so-called Explorer Edition. The consumer version will go on sale by the end of this year.
