Samsung alongside the new Samsung flagship Galaxy The S5 also launched Samsung's revolutionary Gear Fit smart bracelet. Samsung's smart bracelet is revolutionary primarily because it is the world's first wearable device with a touch-sensitive curved display. It is this display that gives it a futuristic design, which is one of the first things you will notice about this bracelet. How did we like using the Samsung Gear Fit? We'll take a look at that now in our first impressions of use.

The design is the first thing that catches your attention. And it's no wonder. The Samsung Gear Fit is unique in this regard, and when you put it on your arm, you'll feel like you've moved forward a few years. The curved touchscreen makes this device truly timeless. The display is curved so that the body of the device fits perfectly in the hand, so there is no danger of the device getting in the way. The display reacts to touches quickly and from my own experience I can say that it reacts as smoothly as displays on phones. It is also very bright and in the settings you can choose one of ten levels, with the default setting being level 6. It is at this level that the device should last up to 5 days of use. There is only one button on the side of the device, the Power Button, and it is used to turn on, turn off and unlock the device. There's software for everything else, which we'll get to later. Finally, an integral part of the bracelet is its strap. Personally, I've only come across the Gear Fit with a black band, but people have the option to purchase any of the existing bands.

The Gear Fit does not include a camera, speakers, or microphone. But would you need them? We're talking about a sports accessory and the cheapest Gear available right now. But we definitely cannot talk about Gear Fit as a cheap product. Its price depends on the functions it has, not on the materials and processing used. This is high end and I can say it feels just as premium as the full version of the Samsung Gear 2. But even though it has less features, it still has a heart rate sensor on the inside. The add-on, which debuted on a Samsung device this year, is also available here, but due to the focus of the product, it works on a different principle. While pri Galaxy You have to put your finger on the S5 sensor, you simply turn on the sensor and relax. Due to the lower computing power, it should be taken into account that the blood pulse reading takes longer here than on Galaxy S5. Personally, I waited about 15 to 20 seconds before it took my heart rate.

And finally, there's the software. The software is the other half of the product, literally in this case. Gear Fit includes its own operating system, which offers several applications and settings, thanks to which you can partially use Gear Fit even without a smartphone. But many functions are hidden in the Gear Fit Manager application, which is available for several devices, led by Samsung Galaxy S5. This free app lets you set which apps you want to receive notifications from, what kind of background you want, and much more. Of course, the option to set your own background is also found in the bracelet itself, but here you only have a choice of system backgrounds, of which there are about 10. Several of them also consist of static colors, but there is also an abstract colorful background from Samsung Galaxy S5 and newer devices. It should not be forgotten that Samsung now allows you to switch the orientation of the display on this device. The display is by default oriented in width, which, however, presents a problem if we take into account that the device is worn on the hand. That's why you have the option to turn the display to portrait, thanks to which the Gear Fit is controlled much more naturally. You can get away from individual applications using the button at the bottom of the display.
