samsung-galaxy-fSamsung is indeed preparing a premium version of its Galaxy S5. Or rather he was working on it. Samsung Galaxy F or Galaxy The S5 Prime was supposed to be a premium version of the S5 with a more powerful processor and, above all, a 5.2-inch 2K display. A resolution of 2560 x 1440 and an 8-core Exynos 5230 are things that, among other things, the renowned technology analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted. It is these components that should become part of the high-end version Galaxy S5, which Samsung has not yet introduced.

The phone itself has the working designation KQ. However, don't be fooled, this K has nothing to do with Galaxy K, which Samsung plans to introduce at the end of the month. Series Galaxy The S5 was referred to as the K project from the very beginning, and the individual derivatives appeared under modified names. For example, KQ in this case symbolized Galaxy S5 with QHD display. But at that time it was still a single project, so the classic SM-G900 had to offer a display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. However, the display was part of the first prototypes and due to production problems, it was discarded in favor of a Full HD display in later prototypes. This already happened with 3 out of 10 prototypes that Samsung developed.

The phone prototype was supposed to offer an Exynos 5430 processor, which in its current form contained four cores with a frequency of 2.1 GHz and four cores with a frequency of 1.5 GHz. It was also supposed to include a boosted Mali Midgard graphics chip with a frequency of 600 MHz and a completely new driver for the display that allowed Samsung Galaxy S5 to run a 2K display while saving power. It was also supposed to offer support for HEVC, making it one of the first devices that no longer only supports the H.264 video codec. Furthermore, a co-processor for sound processing, called SEIREN, was to be available. Finally, there was the first LTE chip from Intel. It was he who was supposed to provide support for LTE Cat 6 networks with a speed of up to 300 Mbit/s.

The product will eventually appear under an alternate name. New leaks have revealed that Samsung is preparing a phone labeled SM-G906S with a Snapdragon 805 processor, which was already mentioned in the first leaks before Samsung's presentation Galaxy S5. In the end, it looks like Samsung will actually use this processor and we can really expect it to be a Samsung derivative Galaxy S5. It is not known when this phone will appear on the market, but it is possible that it will happen as early as this quarter, as testing is in full swing.
