Samsung registered the new domain samsung-sconsole.com last week. As Samsung states on its website, the S Console serves as a launcher for games that support Samsung game controllers. However, this is not a sufficient reason why Samsung should launch its own domain, so it is possible that it has bigger plans with the S Console name. Early on, there was speculation that the company was preparing its own Steam-like game store or even its own game console.
It is the game console market that has been experiencing changes recently, thanks to which it is coming to the fore Android and consoles with it, such as the Ouya. Samsung could thus be the next to start selling its own game console that will support those games from Androidu, which are compatible with game controllers from Samsung. However, as I mentioned above, it is not excluded that Samsung wants to turn the S Console into a full-fledged game service, such as Steam, Google Play Games or Xbox Live. Well, we will probably find the answer to what Samsung is really preparing in a few months, when its new S Console will be ready.
