Prague, 24. April 2014 – Samsung Electronics won two awards 2014 Technical Image Press Association Awards (TIPA) in the "Best CSC Advanced" and "Best Easy Compact Camera" categories. Samsung SMART Camera NX30 won an award "Best CSC Advanced" and became the best advanced compact camera (CSC) on the market. Also the camera WB50F won an award "Best Easy Compact Camera".
For the NX30, the jury praised the advanced 20,3-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, which allows users to create high-quality, color-rich photos. Also the Samsung NX AF System II, which enables fast and accurate focusing thanks to its exceptionally fast shutter speed (1/8000s) and sequential shooting at a speed of 9 frames per second. Together with the unique Tiltable Electronic Viewfinder, discovering new photographic opportunities with the NX30 is easier than ever. Function Tag & Go (with advanced NFC and Wi-Fi connectivity) allows users to share their photos anytime, anywhere. All of these features contributed to the TIPA jury's decision to award this camera the "Best CSC Advanced" award.

Along with it, the Samsung SMART Camera WB50F also won the "Best Easy Compact Camera" award. It owes this to its elegant and stylish design with integrated Soft Flash, which allows photographers to create images that are soft and naturally lit, bright and fresh. The WB50F also features an impressive 12x optical zoom and a 16MP CCD sensor, allowing users to capture every sharp detail. The Tag & Go feature (with advanced NFC/Wi-Fi connectivity) pairs the WB50F with a smartphone by simply holding the two devices together – allowing easy photo sharing.

The Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) Awards is considered the most prestigious award in the field of photographic technology in Europe. Every year TIPA editors vote on the best products launched in the previous 12 months.
