I already mentioned yesterday that Samsung is preparing a new generation Galaxy Beam. However, this is already a reality and the company has quietly started selling a new one in China Galaxy Beam 2, which quite strikingly resembles the model we could see in the photos for TENAA. It is not known whether the phone will reach other corners of the world, but the first generation Galaxy Beam was also sold here for around €200. The technical specifications of the phone are practically the same as those that Samsung has in the documents for TENAA. Samsung Galaxy BEAM2 (SM-G3858) therefore offers a 4.66-inch display with a resolution of 480 × 800 pixels, so the pixel density is lower than expected. On the other hand, this resolution is offered by the projector, and thus Samsung ensures the best possible compatibility with the projector in the upper part of the device. The phone further offers a quad-core processor with a frequency of 4 GHz, 1.2 GB of RAM and finally runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. There is also a 5-megapixel camera with Full HD video support. The phone weighs 165 grams and is 11,6 millimeters thick.
