The Chromebook 2, which was originally scheduled for release as early as next week, has been delayed. According to available information, Samsung has decided to postpone its release by almost a month, as it will not be available until the end of May at least in the US. The reason for the postponement can only be speculated for now, in any case, all those who pre-ordered one of the variants of this new laptop on Amazon should receive an email about the postponement of the order together with the date of the likely availability of the device, namely May 15th.

Both of the planned Chromebook 2 variants will run on an octa-core Exnost processor supported by 4GB of RAM and will also include 16GB of SSD storage. However, they will differ in displays and, of course, in price, as the 11.6″ version with a resolution of 1366×768 will be available in the US for $319.99 (6399 CZK, approx. 229 Euros), while the 13.3″ variant with Full-HD will be available for 399.99 dollars (7999 CZK, approx. 289 Euro).
