Lawsuit between South Korea's Samsung and North America's Applem finally reached a verdict according to which Samsung must pay Apple 119 US dollars in damages (just under 625 billion CZK, just under 000 million Euros). According to the court, the South Korean technology giant infringed 2.4 Apple patents, namely patent 90, which converts addresses and phone numbers into links, and then patent number 2, which refers to the "Slide to unlock" function, which Samsung allegedly copied and used on its devices from the series Galaxy S.

However, Samsung will not be the only one paying, Apple because he also violated one of his patents and is owed a total of $158 (approx. 400 CZK, 3 Euro). This patent related to the galleries used on several models of the device line iPhone and iPod touch. However, both amounts are only a fraction of what the two companies demanded of each other, as the original figures were in the billions of dollars. However, the final amount to be paid may still change, as next week the court will examine other devices that may have violated some patents, both from Apple and from Samsung.
