Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Kun-hee suffered an acute myocardial infarction on Saturday night. Lee Kun-hee is often referred to as one of the key people who make Samsung where it is at the moment, however, he survived the heart attack and is reportedly in a stable condition. The first problems appeared a few days ago, when the 72-year-old business tycoon was taken by ambulance to the hospital due to persistent breathing problems, which culminated in a heart attack, but Lee Kun-hee himself reportedly no longer complains of any problems.

His son Lee Jae-yong, until 2012 the head of Samsung's operations department, could replace his father in the position due to a serious heart attack. He already works at Samsung as the first vice-chairman of the board of directors, and thus during his father's absence he arranges the smooth functioning of the company, and the heart attack that Lee Kun-hee suffered, fortunately, has not significantly affected the company so far. Anyway, hopefully Lee Kun-hee will return to his position and be with us on Earth for a long time, because it would be a great shame if Samsung lost such an important person as he deservedly is.
