Samsung presents waterproofness as one of the main features of the new Galaxy S5. But what prompted Samsung to develop its phone to be waterproof? JK Shin, CEO of Samsung Mobile, has the answer to this question. Shin revealed that he was driven to waterproofing by statistics from service centers. The statistics showed that up to 30% of all claimed devices were damaged in the past by accidentally spilling water or coffee, or by falling into water.
