Microsoft's leaked Facebook record apparently revealed what it had yet to reveal. Thanks to him, the information that the company is working on two big updates for the office suite somehow got to the public. The first big update is supposed to be the "Gemini" update, which, according to the speculations so far, it has to offer to users Windows 8 option to switch to the environment Windows Modern. This change would make Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications available in full-screen mode, offering a touchscreen-friendly experience.

Along with the new interface, the Gemini update should also bring several other changes. Of course, we're not counting bug fixes, as they come out at more regular intervals and there's no need to wait for Microsoft to release a major update a year after the release of Office 2013. The Gemini update is speculated to be released in late summer or fall/autumn. Microsoft is expected to release Office 2014 for Mac with it. Office 365 users get both suites and updates at no additional cost. The surprise in the end is that Microsoft mentioned Office 2015. If this turns out to be true, then Microsoft would break its traditional update cycle and start releasing major versions of Office every two years. We don't know anything about the Office 2015 suite, we only know that Microsoft has started developing it.
