windows-8.1-updateIn addition to information about Office Gemini and Office 2015, the leaker with the nickname WZor also revealed the future of the operating system Windows. According to the leak, it looks like Microsoft is working on not one, but three new versions of the operating system. First off, this is the second (or third) major update for the pre Windows 8. It is speculated that Microsoft will name it as Windows 8.1 Update 2, but allegedly some employees are trying to enforce the name Windows 8.2, which was even speculated last year as the name for this year's Update 1.

Big update for Windows 8 should be released in September of this year, and it will also be available for free to all users of the current operating system. One of the main features of the new update is the return of the mini-Start menu, which Microsoft already presented at the Build 2014 conference and which you can see in the photo below. In addition, the update should bring the possibility to use Modern UI applications in the desktop window, which will lead to a greater connection between the two environments.

But on the side Windows 8.1 Update 2 (or Win 8.2) Microsoft is also working on the operating system Windows 9. Windows 9 is said to bring the second generation of Modern UI, but the sources did not clarify what Microsoft has planned. However, if past leaks are anything to go by, then it's possible that the second generation of Modern UI will bring interactive tiles, as we could see in the videos that Microsoft accidentally posted on YouTube. Windows 9 will also contain a Start button. It is now available in Windows 8.1, but at Windows 9, Microsoft wants to go further with it. Although the traditional Start button is available on classic computers and laptops, this button should look different on tablets and devices with a touch screen. Surprisingly, it is also discussed that Windows 9 will be available completely free for users Windows 8 or 8.1, but this may change at any time.

Finally, Microsoft is preparing Windows 365, which is supposed to be a special edition Windows for super-cheap devices and for the business sphere. It is considered that this edition will work on a similar principle to Chrome OS, that is, it will be closely connected with the Internet and cloud services. Windows 365 should offer users a bonus in the form of a huge space on OneDrive where users can store their files. In that case, computers with Windows 365 made do with really weak hardware at a low price, which in a way lives up to the vision Windows with Bing, which we reported on a few months ago. However, users who get on this train will have to change their computers for new ones at regular intervals if they want to keep their space, or they will have to renew their space for money after the bonus ends.
