Samsung Gear 2This time, Strategy Analytics focused on how individual smartwatch manufacturers are doing. Strategy Analytics revealed in its report that Samsung is currently the dominant smartwatch maker in the market, shipping 2014 watches in the first quarter of 500 Galaxy Gear.

This has given Samsung up to a 71,4 percent share of the global smartwatch market, rightfully placing Samsung at the top of the table. For Samsung, this means that its market position has improved, despite the fact that it shipped 1 million watches last year. At that time, however, Samsung only had a 52,4 percent share, which means that its position has strengthened even more. With the company introducing other smartwatches and devices this year, namely the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit, Samsung is expected to see even more sales of smart devices this year. In terms of total sales, manufacturers are expected to sell more than 3 million devices this year.
