galaxy-tab4-10.1With the advent of tablets and smartphones in the military space, manufacturers are starting to take into account the durability of their devices. Samsung is one of them, and it looks like it's one of the first companies to make rugged tablets. The news has just appeared on the Internet that Samsung is starting to work on a tablet with the Samsung label Galaxy Tab 4 Active, which means it will be a tablet with a modified body that will be designed to be water and dust resistant.

Galaxy The Tab 4 Active would be Samsung's first tablet to be truly waterproof, making it ideal for people who want their devices to be durable. We have no idea what such a device will look like or when it will even go on sale, but Samsung registered the trademark on April 30, 2014, so it's possible that the device has been in the works for some time. In addition, Samsung can introduce it at any time and it is also possible that it will launch the waterproof tablet over the summer or in September/September, when it would probably introduce it alongside Galaxy Note 4. Samsung apparently tried to keep the tablet a secret, as it applied for a trademark in Norway, a country where we wouldn't expect it.
