Samsung has just taken a really surprising step, because something like this, at least from other manufacturers, hasn't been around for quite some time, if at all. For more than a year old Samsung smart watch Galaxy The Gear released its own new Tizen 2.2.0 operating system, bringing it much closer to the current Samsung Gear 2 model, which has been using Tizen since its release in April. However, with the update to a new operating system comes a kind of chaos in the names, because the concept GALAXY on the original (now updated) device Galaxy Gear means presence Androiduv device, which is why the successor released in April is called only Samsung Gear 2, not Samsung Galaxy Gear 2. After the update though Android z Galaxy Gear disappears and is replaced by Tizen, while the subtitle Galaxy still stays. Although this is not a clear dogma, the name can be misleading, which Samsung apparently did not realize a bit.

The update itself does not have to have a significant effect at first glance, because the South Korean manufacturer partially adapted Tizen, so visually it looks almost identical compared to the original system. Anyway, Tizen OS brings a number of new conveniences and improvements to the watch, including longer battery life, finally a built-in music player, customizability of the main screen or voice control of the camera. Simply do Galaxy The Gear features features that debuted only in April on the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo, that is, in addition to some really demanding ones or those that would not work without the appropriate hardware, viz. heart rate measurement using a sensor. The update can be downloaded via Kies, but it is good to know one very important thing - during the installation of a new system with users they will completely erase all data on the device, but Samsung thought of that, so it offers the user to pair Samsung before installation Galaxy Gear with another device and backup data.
