Information about this was recently revealed by the Chinese Communications Authority Tena, who published photos of the device and dimensions in his database, which show that when it comes to thinness, then Samsung goes to extremes. Information about the 8,4-inch version indicates that the device will be only 6,5 millimeters thick and weigh 287 grams, making it quite a bit thinner and lighter than we originally thought. Just for comparison, the competing iPad mini with Retina display is 7,5 millimeters thick and weighs 331 grams, which is considered one of the thinnest (if not the thinnest) and lightest on the market. If we consider that the device has an octa-core Exynos processor, 3 GB of RAM and an 8.4″ display with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels, the device is extremely thin. In the end, the question remains how Samsung handles the battery, but we will get an answer to that at the end of next week.
