Battery IconAlmost everyone knows that the battery life of today's phones is not a win. Even the manufacturers themselves are slowly figuring it out, and Samsung has pleased the owners of the new one Galaxy The S5 team has developed the Ultra Power Saving Mode function, which takes battery saving to a whole new level, and we can even safely say that thanks to it, the phones last about as long as the old Nokia 3310. These days I'm testing the new Samsung Galaxy S5 and even though I wanted to devote part of the upcoming review to this feature, I couldn't resist sharing it now.

Of course, testing the phone also includes testing the battery life. However, today I had to make an exception and I had to turn on the Ultra Power Saving Mode, which will reduce the performance of the device, turn off any colors and limit the smartphone to only the most basic functions. So you have three applications available on the home screen - Phone, Messages, Internet - with the fact that you can add three more applications to the screen. Personally, I turned on Ultra Power Saving Mode only at the moment when the screen showed me that my battery was only charged to one percent. So what can you do with 1% battery?

  • You manage to make 5 shorter mobile calls
  • You can send and receive up to 9 SMS messages
  • The phone lasts about 1 hour and 13 minutes before it is completely discharged

However, you also have to take into account that the system will reduce the brightness of the display in order to preserve the maximum battery life, which at 1% means that the readability of the display in direct sunlight is significantly worse and a person may not recognize at first sight whether his phone is still on or discharged. More on that in the Samsung review Galaxy S5, which we will be looking at soon.
