Prague, June 9, 2014 – Samsung confirms its leading position in the field of Ultra HD TVs and expands the possibilities of viewing content in the highest resolution on the market to date. In all this year's UHD TV models, a special section is now available in the Topfun application UHD Free. Customers get free eight short documentaries in unique 4K resolution. By the end of the year, more will be added from areas such as travel, fauna, flora and cooking. In addition to playing your own content such as photos or videos from the Note 3 and GALAXY The S5 can now enjoy maximum detailed resolution even when viewing these images. In addition, Samsung will further expand the available UHD content in the Topfun application.
"Not only the constant development of new technologies, but also the expansion of benefits for consumers in the form of high-quality multimedia content is the essence of our work. The latest gift for our customers is exclusive UHD images, which can be viewed on all UHD TV models this year. Thanks to these documentaries, our customers can visit, for example, San Francisco, Helsinki or Africa from the comfort of their armchair," said Pavel Mizera, Smart TV Content Specialist at Samsung Electronics Czech and Slovak.
The latest 4K content can be accessed without registration until June 30, 2015. All you have to do is connect to the Internet via a UHD TV (2014 models) and play at least one 2014K video in the Topfun application until the end of 4. The recommended internet connection speed is 25 Mbit/s.

In order to support the UHD TV market, Samsung is not only establishing various partnerships with 4K content providers, but at the same time equipping its devices with technologies that are a certain intermediate stage before the mass distribution of 4K content. These include patented technology Upcaling, which is part of all Samsung UHD TVs. Converts Full HD, HD and lower resolution sources to almost Ultra HD quality. Thanks to Uspcaling technology, viewers will get the best possible image regardless of the characteristics of the source.
Another unique solution is the so-called One Connect box, which stores the brain of the TV externally outside the device itself. It contains all the necessary connectors and is connected with only one cable. In the event of rapid changes in the field of television technology, it will be sufficient to replace only the One Connect Box, not the entire television. It will then take care of aligning TVs with the latest UHD formats Samsung UHD Evolution Kit. It will also ensure that customers have access to all the latest Samsung Smart TV enhancements, including the new driver Smart controls.
