YoutubeYesterday we wrote about the fact that Google is preparing to partially charge the largest video portal in the world, that is, YouTube. According to available information, the charging itself will be done through the introduction of a new streaming service, which for a fee will let users listen to music or watch video clips without ads and in whole albums. Users without a subscription will then be limited and at the same time will see a bunch of ads before, during and after the video.

However, music companies must also agree to this news, otherwise they will be blocked on Youtube. Roughly 95% of large and small publishing houses accepted the new conditions, but the remaining 5% rejected the conditions. Among the mentioned 5% are publishers such as Domino Records and XL Recording, which publish the works of many authors, and it is those that we will probably no longer see on the new YouTube. Who exactly will it be about? Under Domino Records are Arctic Monkeys, Animal Collective, Hot Chip, Anna Calvi, Franz Ferdinand, The Kills, Owen Pallett, Sons and Daughters, under XL Recording then also other stars such as Adele, Atoms for Peace, Radiohead, Basement Jaxx, Bobby Womack , Dizzee Rascal, Jack White, Jamie xx, King Krule, MIA, Ratatat, SBTRKT, Sigur Rós, The Horrors, The Prodigy, The xx and Vampire Weekend. We will most likely no longer hear the music of all the listed artists on YouTube, but fortunately there are still portals such as Vimeo or Grooveshark services.
