The Waze application is certainly not unknown. It serves for comfortable navigation and fully uses its charm in the city. It synchronizes the speed of users and their reports from the path to one server. Users then download this data and in that way receive reports of where the accident happened, where the colony is, and so on.
Waze has been owned by Google for some time, and maybe that's why updates aren't content with the interval of every month. The latest version is marked under the number 3.8, but this update is not just about solving a few bugs. This is a larger update and brings several new features. The creator himself writes on the official blog: "Just in time for the summer holidays, we released a new version that allows you to keep up with friends and family". The update brings:
- Searching for friends by adding contacts.
- New user profile for easy account management.
- Ability to send a friend request and manage your friend list.
- New interface of the location submission section. You can easily send your current location or the location of any other location and your friends can be navigated to it.
- Reworked main menu including the option to send a position.
- Location information sent by friends is saved for future navigation.
- Easy ride sharing from the ETA screen. So you can forget about annoying texts and calls like: "I'm leaving", "I'm in traffic" and "We're almost there!" and just let Waze do the work instead.
- Ability to see who is following your shared journey.
- Waze will remain on the display even when receiving a call.
- Fixes found errors, optimization and other improvements.
Users will then be able to use their contact list to find friends on the Waze network and share location information with them. The new version also provides easier access to information about who can track your location.
