Prague, June 23, 2014 – Samsung, a leading manufacturer and award-winning innovator of consumer electronics and home appliances, has expanded its offer with a new generation of Blu-ray players with UHD upscaling. This innovative technology converts regular definition to UHD resolution level, ensuring almost perfect quality of the content you watch, even if the content in question does not come from a UHD source.

With Blu-ray players, users also get instant and seamless connectivity to all multimedia. They support the connection of an external hard disk and storage device using the USB connector.
New Blu-ray players traditionally manage to read a large number of codecs and formats, thanks to which the viewer can access a much wider range of videos, music and images. The experience will be further enhanced by the Full HD 3D technology, which has the function of automatic contrast adjustment. It also minimizes the number of image layers and maximizes the response speed, so you can watch a smoother and sharper image.
Conversion to UHD resolution is available in two models. The BD-H6500 is simple and user-friendly even for those who are just starting out with players. Of course, it also brings Smart functions and wireless Internet connection.
The most demanding users will be pleased with the BD-H8900 model with 1TB HDD, which not only provides Smart functions, but also allows you to record favorite programs and series on the hard disk thanks to a unique combination of tuners for terrestrial and cable TV broadcasting (DVB-T and DVB-C). The Blu-ray player thus also serves as a PVR with dual recording.
