FacebookIn the last few years, the social network Facebook has become the target of many more or less sophisticated viruses. Now, unfortunately, another one has appeared on this network with more than a billion registered users, this time from the more sophisticated category. Even the majority of available antiviruses cannot detect it, and therefore the only possible prevention is information and common sense, but even that can fail thanks to several functions by which the virus convinces the user of its harmlessness.

And what does this pest actually refer to? The author created it simply, but effectively. A video shared by friends appears on Facebook with a comment that looks like it was uploaded from YouTube. After the user clicks on it, a relatively trustworthy copy of the mentioned largest video portal in the world opens and some kind of video starts playing. After a few seconds, however, it deliberately stops working and an error is reported, according to which the Adobe Flash plugin has fallen and needs to be downloaded. At that moment, the file "Flash Player.exe" will start downloading with a trojan, which, however, has absolutely nothing to do with the well-known Adobe Flash Player. After downloading and opening this file, the user's computer is infected with a Trojan horse, but according to the available information, the company ESET is already on the heels of the virus and intends to issue a statement in the following days, in which it informs how to defend oneself and what to do in case of infection.
