Samsung Galaxy S5 SportsAs speculated some time ago, Samsung's rugged version Galaxy S5 could be called Galaxy S5 Sport and not Active. However, eventually both versions appeared and Samsung has now released a new one Galaxy S5 Sport, which will be exclusively available with the American operator Sprint. The phone differs not only in name, but also in design, which now represents a kind of mix Galaxy S5 to Galaxy S5 Active that came out recently.

The device has a shape similar to the one we know from Galaxy S5 Active, but at the same time has a perforated back cover, as we know from Galaxy S5. The sides of the phone are rubberized, which Samsung says will help the device hold better. The device has retained the traditional IP67 certificate, but thanks to the plastic body, it lacks the MIL-810G-STD certificate, which is a specific feature of the Active model, which is therefore suitable for harsh, combat conditions.

The device also comes with additional software that includes free annual access to MapMyFitness MVP as well as a 6-month premium subscription to Spotify, allowing athletes to enjoy ad-free music. Both subscriptions are part of the Fit Live Hub project, which was established by the Sprint operator to support people's fitness activities. Just as we were able to find out earlier thanks to @evleaks, the device will be available in Electric Blue and Cherry Red colors in a month, on July 25th, 2014. Users who purchase the phone will also be entitled to a 50% discount on their purchase the Samsung Gear Fit bracelet. The phone's hardware remained identical to the Galaxy S5.
