Samsung-LogoSamsung has announced that it has reached an agreement with Apical, the company behind Assertive Display technology. According to Samsung, the new technology should be used in devices that contain an Exynos processor, so potentially this technology can already appear in Samsung Galaxy Note 4, which the company should introduce in a few months. But what is it actually about?

For those who thought that Samsung would drop its Super AMOLED displays, we have good news. This is a technology that can adapt the content on the display depending on the light in real time, thanks to which the display maintains very good readability in any lighting conditions, while also being able to save energy. This is a technology that was already used by Nokia in its Lumia 1520. However, Samsung initially plans to use the technology only on devices with an Exynos processor, but this may change in the future. Since there are fewer Exynos devices than Snapdragon devices, it is possible that Samsung simply wants to prepare the technology for mass use in Snapdragon models.
