samsung_display_4KA spokesperson for Samsung Display, a sister company of Samsung Electronics, confirmed to ndtv.com that Samsung Display will invest as much as one billion US dollars in the near future to build a new module assembly factory. It should be located in Bac Ninh province in Vietnam, so it will be the very first factory that Samsung Display will have in this country. Production should then start during 2015, but it is not entirely certain which type of display panels will be produced here, but according to the increasing demand, everything is moving towards OLED panels.

The Samsung Display company chose East Asian Vietnam mainly because of low production costs, over time Samsung will probably profit more from this and maybe, with a little luck and goodwill, we will see lower prices for some products, this could also be helped by the fact that Samsung plans to build one more factory in Vietnam, this time directly for phones.
