It is logical that older technologies lose their place in the modern market. Samsung also felt it in the sale of plasma TVs, which were extremely popular in the past, but now the interest in plasma TVs is so low that Samsung has no reason to continue producing them. And that is why it plans to definitively end their production on November 30, 2014. However, the company will not feel it in any way, since the dominant position in its portfolio is occupied by LCD and LED televisions.
In the end, Samsung is one of several companies that have discontinued the production of plasma TVs. In the past, companies such as Panasonic, Hitachi and Sony also stopped their production, which also focused on the production of LCD and LED televisions. Well, unlike others, Samsung is discontinuing the production of plasma TVs due to the fact that it is very difficult to produce 4K TVs with the help of outdated technology. In addition, if this were to succeed, televisions would be much coarser compared to LEDs and would have significantly higher consumption. On the other hand, however, they have been awarded many times for their high image quality.
