Samsung announced financial results for the second quarter, and from the looks of it, the company failed to meet its own targets. It originally expected to boast an operating profit of $8 billion at the end of the quarter, but that didn't happen and the company only reported a profit of $7,1 billion. The company therefore announced that it plans to strengthen its organizational structure and begin to put more pressure on its management.

The company believes that it is the change in the internal organization that will make Samsung able to improve its position and prevent the company from having further problems with weak financial results in the future. The problems themselves affected several divisions, including Samsung SDI, Samsung Electro-Mechanics and Samsung Display, the largest display manufacturer today.
