SamsungNot so long ago, Samsung published information that a total of 59 of its Chinese component suppliers had consistently violated safety standards, but not one of them employed children, according to a press release. Now, however, New York's China Labor Watch claims that child labor is used directly by Samsung in its component factories, specifically this has been proven in the Shinyang Electronics factory in China. Samsung responded to this claim with a reply that it will investigate the whole situation and ensure that if China Labor has Watch the truth, nothing like that happened again.

CLW reportedly acquired these informace thanks to an undercover inspector investigating the factory. In total, five underage workers were found in three days, even working like other employees for up to 11 hours a day for three to six months without social security and being paid long overtime. The investigator even took photographs of some of the underage workers as evidence. This is not Samsung's first trouble with China Labor Watch, after a two-year investigation, further deficiencies in the factories were revealed to CLW, mainly related to poor working conditions and violations of safety standards.
