New York Wi-FiMobile phones, smartphones, cell phones... These are the names for devices that almost everyone has at home or in their pocket these days. And that is also why, according to recent research, the popularity of well-known telephone booths, which provide almost free telephone connections on the corner of almost every street in all major cities around the world, has greatly decreased. And from the aforementioned research, they took the example of New York City, i.e. the most populous city in the USA, which probably does not need to be introduced further.

The phone booths there will gradually be transformed into public WiFi hotspots that will serve all residents and tourists free of charge. And who's up for it? The Office of Information Technology in New York has so far reached an agreement with several companies, including Samsung, but also Google and Cisco, and is still waiting for a response from other technology giants. However, this transformation may not be surprising, some time ago, 10 WiFi hotspots were introduced for testing, replacing 10 telephone booths in all parts of the city except the Bronx and Staten Island, and this experiment, as expected, celebrated success.

Over time, New York City will thus be completely covered by a free WiFi connection under the name NYC-PUBLIC-WIFI, while there will be no need to keep connecting to another hotspot while walking through the city, as they will cooperate with each other.
