Prague, July 24, 2014 – Samsung has won seven Summer Pick Awards 2014 for outstanding innovation in its printers and MFPs. The C1810/1860, M2835/2885 and MultiXpress CLX-8640/8650 printer series were recognized for outstanding performance in the print category.

Samsung printers – top technology and excellent performance
In the hardware section, five Samsung printers and multifunction devices (MFPs) received awards for outstanding achievements. Series listed this year Samsung Xpress C1810/1860 Receives Best Personal Color Printer and MFP Award. Thanks to the color touch screen, the operation of the device is very easy and fast.
Tony Maceri, senior test technician at Buyers Laboratory (Bli), praises this model primarily for its comprehensive package of top technologies at an affordable price. “The color touch screen that is
still a rarity in this sector, it makes scanning or printing documents very easy. The Mobile Print application and integrated NFC technology enable printing or scanning of documents by simply touching the smartphone to the MFP,” Maceri explained his reasons for the award.
The Xpress M2835/2885 series also won the Outstanding Personal Monochrome Printer and MFP award for simplifying printing through Samsung's proprietary technology.
"Mobile printing is a very modern trend, but printing from a smartphone or tablet can be complicated," said Marlene Orr, Senior Printer and A4 MFP Analyst at Bli. "However, the Xpress M2835 and 2885 printers with integrated NFC technology exceed expectations, printing from 'mobile' couldn't be easier. Just place a smartphone equipped with NFC technology on the printer or MFP, the Samsung Mobile Print application automatically connects the devices and I can immediately print my own documents.”
The MultiXpress CLX-8650, an enterprise-ready A4 color laser MFP, has won recognition as an excellent A4 color MFP for large workgroups thanks to its reliability, eco-friendly features and high performance.
