You will recognize it. It will be released in the spring Galaxy S5, and a few months later, a smaller version, which Samsung called as, will go on sale Galaxy S5 mini. However, according to the latest claim by DigiTimes, it looks like the mini-versions will slowly leave the market just as they slowly arrived. Suppliers in Taiwan pointed out that manufacturers are starting to have trouble selling "mini" versions of phones, regardless of whether the phones offer powerful hardware or features identical to the large version of the phone.

The problem is precisely in the word "mini". People generally think that the name "mini" symbolizes something that is not full-fledged and therefore not worth talking about. This problem should be helped by the fact that the "mini" versions are sold for prices around 400 to 500 dollars, while similar devices from Chinese manufacturers are sold for 150 to 200 dollars. Nor is the trend of larger screens any better - by whom Galaxy The S III mini offered a 4-inch display, Galaxy The S4 mini already offered a 4.3-inch and the latest Galaxy The S5 mini offers a 4.5-inch display.

Even changing the name of the product does not help some manufacturers. Phones such as LG G3 Beat or Sony Xperia Z1 Compact also have problems with sales. Paradoxically, however, the LG G3 Beat cannot even be called a "mini" phone, as it offers a 5-inch display, and it is possible that the inevitable name change awaits other manufacturers, including Samsung. When people buy these phones, they praise them a lot. They like the screen of the Xperia Z1 Compact, and the battery life is worth mentioning, which is even higher in the "mini version" than in the standard one.
