GalaxyTabS-Main2_ICONIn its latest post, DigiTimes reports that Samsung will probably not meet its expectations this year and will not be able to sell 60 million tablets, as it originally reported. Samsung already set this goal last year, but according to its current situation, it doesn't look like it will be able to get much closer to this number, despite the fact that it has changed its strategy. Not only did it start selling mid-range models for a significantly lower amount, but it also launched the "first" tablets with AMOLED displays.

Well, even if she had already managed to introduce during the first half of the year Galaxy Tab 3 Lite and series Galaxy TabPRO, Galaxy Table 4 a Galaxy Tab S managed to sell less than 2014 million tablets in the first half of 20, i.e. 1/3 of the expected amount. Samsung is aware of this problem and wants to adapt to it by planning to reduce the prices of existing models and to launch several promotions that could boost sales of its tablets for the rest of the year. Also, don't forget about other possible tablets that may come out before the end of the year - for example, a new generation of tablets Galaxy Note 10.1″, which will probably be presented in the fall. Positive news for Samsung may be that during the first half of 2014, it recorded a 16,6% increase in sales in the tablet market.
