Samsung Z (SM-Z910F) iconThe letter "Z" in the name of the Samsung Z, the first phone with the Tizen operating system, is a messenger of bad omens. Although Samsung revealed the phone earlier in the year and later announced a release date, it never actually released the phone and it looks like it never will. After all, the product has been delayed several times, and most recently it was announced that it will not be available soon due to the lack of apps in the ecosystem - and now it seems that it will not be available at all, even after Samsung introduced it, started production and announced a release date.

The reason for the cancellation of the Samsung Z is a change in strategy regarding the Tizen system. The new strategy no longer includes Samsung Z, but focuses on developing countries, especially China and India, where Samsung is now being trampled on by local manufacturers who managed to overtake it and moved it to second place. Thus, Samsung wants to maintain its leadership in these countries and plans to strengthen it precisely by releasing low-cost phones in those countries that people will be able to afford and at the same time be cheaper than phones with Androidoh The lower prices also contribute to lower system requirements, as Tizen OS requires a minimum of 256 MB of RAM, while Android 4.4 KitKat requires 512 MB. However, the new strategy is quite beneficial for Samsung because the team, by starting to produce cheaper phones, can rapidly increase the share of the operating system Tizen OS in the market - especially in countries with billions of inhabitants.
