s5-lte-aStrategy Analytics has released more statistics for the second quarter of 2014, this time focusing on how individual smartphone manufacturers fared in terms of sales of LTE-capable phones. As the statistics showed, during the second quarter, Samsung managed to sell more phones with support for LTE networks than what the competitor managed to sell Apple. Above all, the model gave a strong helping hand Galaxy S5 which was released in April/April of this year.

In total, Samsung gained a share of 32,2% in the field of LTE phones, which represents approximately 28,6 million sold smartphones with LTE support. Share Apple for the change, it represented 31,9%, which represented a significant decrease compared to the first quarter, when it had Apple share 40,5%. Reasons why Samsung overtook Apple, there are several. One of the main reasons is that Samsung started selling in that period Galaxy S5. Next is the diversity of products, as Samsung today sells a wide range of expensive and cheap smartphones with LTE support, which include, for example Galaxy Note 3 or Galaxy Core Lite. Ultimately, it's the company's ecosystem Apple, which introduces new phones only once a year, and people are already preparing for the show iPhone 6.
